Bantahan Kewajipan Lesen Anjing oleh Majlis Bandaran Alor Setar.
(Protest against mandatory licensing for dogs by the Alor Setar City Council.)
Previous dog license charges: RM5 per year.
New dog license charges: RM56 per year. (Vaccines: RM20, MBAS fee RM30, two application forms: RM6. What do they do for us in exchange for this fee?)
You will now also be required to submit written approval from both your neighbours on the right and left of your house agreeing to let you keep your dog. (None of this applies to cats - this is clearly discriminatory.)
If your dog has no license, you will be fined RM500 per dog.
Please come and voice your protest. If you keep quiet, this will be passed as law.
Date: 10 March 2013 (this Sunday)
Time: 2.15pm
Place: In front of MBAS
