Truly sad 2 know tat human ar so eager to kill animal but how abt d human kill another human, but no death sentence, only jailed for some decades and released afterwards. D dogs ar innocent, main person 2 b punished is d owner 4 not having collar n registered licence. Have dogs n human guards at d same time 2 protect the farm bcoz I worry for 2 d future visitors. Tis way, we can guarantee d safety of human lives. If d fruits and vegetables so precious then hav d pitbulls along with human guards 2 protect d farm. For d Penang Municipal Council, pls do not kill d dogs for they are also the children of GOD. They ar innocent. By killing them, u can't bring back d life of Sullivan. Animals hav rights too. How many Malaysians I have seen kills innocent n defenseless animals cruelly. Hav d Government or d Municipal taken any action against them. Pls release d dogs 2 d owners but disallow them from using d dogs at d farm as guardian unless they hav human guards too. Pls don't kill d dogs n carry d sins. 4 owners pls hav human guards too. Tq

Hi I am Chuan Chai Peng. My friend Vasudev sent me your online blog/petition to sign and she also forwarded her message to me. I have mistakenly pasted my friend Vasudev's message in your blog. Sorry about that.

My message:

Please do not kill the dogs and handover the dogs to its owners. All animals are children of GOD. Have mercy.
The dogs have a special history of their own in many world traditions. In Europe, UK, US and Australian, dogs are more favoured than cats. The Western people had same belief as the Indians that dogs are man’s best friend. Indeed they are.
Dogs have a major religious significance among the Hindus in India. In Hinduism, it is believed that the dog is a messenger of Yama, the angel of death, and dogs guard the doors of Heaven. Socially, they are believed to be the protectors of our homes and lives. So, in order to please the dogs they are going to meet at Heaven’s doors after death, the Indians take good care of dogs. The more dogs you care for, the more reward (pahala) the dog owners get from GOD, so they would be allowed in Heaven or carry the merits of the award in their next life.
I hope the Penang Municipal wants more pahala than committing sin by killing the dogs.

In Nepal, people mark the 14th day of the lunar cycle in November as Kukur-tihar, (Kukur -dog) as known in Nepali language for the dog’s day. This is a day when the dog is worshipped by applying tika (the holy vermilion dot), incense sticks and garlanded generally with marigold flower.
” A dog plays many roles in our society. We have dogs in our houses as guardian of the house. As the legend also says that there is a dog at Yama’s gate (Lord of Death:Yama) guarding the gate to the underworld. The dog is also the steed of the fearful Bhairab, the God of destruction. So on this day a big red tika is put on a dog’s forehead and a beautiful garland around the neck. After worshipping the dog, it is given very delicious meal. This day the saying ‘every dog has his day’ comes true; for even a stray dog is looked upon with respect. We pray to the dog to guard our house as he guards the gate of the underworld and to divert destruction away from our homes. On this day you can see dogs running around with garlands on their neck.” (Festivals of Nepal)
So, at least for one day, dogs have a good life.

So my appeal to the Penang Municipal, pls have mercy and release the dogs to its owners. At least forgive the owner for this one mistake and let the dogs have a good life.

Don't we all realize and sit down and think for one second that these 'people' are agents of Satan? Nothing is going to change! Those in power must put a stop on this. But if it is GOD's Will, then I pray for the safe passing of the animals souls in the Hereafter.

I dont agree with cruelty to animals...but i cant sign this petition, the dogs killed man...putting them down, is not to punish them...it is to ensure it does not happen again.

There is no choice...for if u dare say there is, then please put your child in a cage with them for 24 hours...you wont be able to do it.

Thats the fact

Shame on those DAP in Penang government. They should be more compassionate towards those helpless dogs.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng should be answerable if those poor animals are killed!

This is not at all justified. This is inhumane. Pls don’t kill the dogs and release the dogs to its owners.

What about justice for Maurice, his friend who witnessed his horrific and violent death and his family left with this horrendous loss. The dogs killed and there was a witness. Maurice was an animal lover but can the risk be taken that these illegal type pitbull dogs will not kill again.Get real people a man had a horrific death!

i am a dog lover but i cannot believe this ridiculous petition. dogs are predators by nature and if the owners are not proper pack leaders the dogs will become the pack leaders and return to predatory ways. those dogs are now blooded and it is impossible to turn back. can't believe you have more sympathy for the couple who created the problem losing their pets than the poor woman who watched her partner gored to death infront of her. Let one of your family spend the night with those lovely doggies and see how you like it when you find them in bits the next day.

I cannot agree more with Anonymous. Those of you who sign this petition are sick and deluded in a worldview that places animal rights on par with human rights. These are animals, and viscious ones at that. How dare you insult the families who lost a loved one in this way.
