MDDB & MCCP Northern received an appeal from Jackie who has been taking care of Girl and Baby for almost half a year now. Girl (the mom) was a stray and wandered into Jackie's apartment complex and gave birth to 5 puppies – 2 males were successfully given away leaving 3 females. 1 got rolled over by a car, another lived for another 3 more months to eventually die from poisoning. So that left 1 female puppy (Baby) and mom. Jackie built them a dog house and they made their home in a corner of the carpark. However, some residents were annoyed that Jackie is using the ‘common area’ to rear dogs and complained to the management who threatened to contact MPPP. With no other option left, Jackie made an agreement with the management to allow a grace period to find them a home.

Below is the note from Jackie:-

We are looking for a good home for Girl and Baby. They currently live within our apt complex and unfortunately we’ve been given notice to remove them from our area.

They come as a package – Mother and daughter have stuck by each other thru thick and thin and it certainly would be cruel to tear them apart. We are appealing to any person who loves dogs and have space in their home to welcome Girl and Baby into their lives. They are people-friendly and most importantly child-friendly. They are good natured, excellent mice catchers and perform well as guard dogs. They are both mid-sized with black shiny coats and comes complete with dog tags. Their details are as follows:-

Mother  (white collar - in sitting position)

Name : Girl

Age : 2 yrs

Characteristics :  very alert, the sensible one, listens to commands, she’s the head mice catcher!

Child (green collar - lying on grass)

Name : Baby

Age : 7-8 mths

Characteristics : very playful, very cheeky and adorable. Do not let her puppy look fool you...she’s actually very smart! smart in a cheeky way.
